Updating the Database

Hi Cem,

The directions for updating the database with the lastest build state to put the updateDBTo4.asp in the current WexServer folder and run it once.  When I double click on the file to run it, it opens the file in Internet Explorer.  Is it supposed to do something else so I know the database has been updated?

Hi Mike,
As it is a ASP script, you can't run it like an ordinary executable file. Run it just like you run WebExplorer Server, i.e type http://yoursite.com/wexserver/updateDBto4.asp in the address bar of the browser. It will give you information on the update process.

By the way, make sure you have previously upgraded to version 3 if not you should run the previous update script (updateTo30.asp). Let me know if you don't have it.
