Service Folders

Hi,

I'm have been trying to create the service fodlers but still no luck. I have assigned Modify to the IUSR_MACHINENAME account and created another group that also has Modify privs.  I am also a member of the admin group for the server but I still can't get WexExplorer Server to create the folders. Strange?

Also when the admin window comes up and I click on the Service Folder tab it has old data in the fields for the service fodlers. I chanegd the data manually in the db but it has not changed in the text fields on the page. Does it cache this some how?

Any help would be most welcome!

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

Ok, I have fixed the problem. It was the IUSR_MACHINE account was not on the directory I had created called /FileServer . So now it works great!

However, I need to put this on a server that I can't access the IUSR_MACHINE account. Is there a way to just use a group or something to make it work?

Please advise...

Many Thanks,

Mark

Mark,
You should set this permission on your service folders so that WebExplorer Server can handle all file functions.

You can contact your server administrator/hosting company to apply this setting for you if you don't have the access.

If the account IUSR_MACHINENAME is not available then you can use the account that is assigned to your web site in IIS settings.
