Windows Authentication

Hello,

I have problems with windows authentication:

The server where Filevista is hosted is called WEBFILESERVICE.
The Username (which exists on this server) is mannhem

Exactly the same user is present in Filevista user administration:

- WEBFILESERVICE\mannhem
and also a second user:
mannhem

Both users are assigned to a root folder.

When I try to login from the server WEBFILESERVICE, a windows loginpage appears. I entered username mannhem and the password, then the following message appear:

Login failed for Windows User "WEBFILESERVICE\mannhem" !
There is no FileVista user defined with the same name.

How can I solve this?

Hi Markus,
The problem is probably the letter case of the user name. Please create a FileVista user exactly as you see it in the error message.

For instance if the error message is

Login failed for Windows User "WEBFILESERVICE\mannhem" ! 
There is no FileVista user defined with the same name.

Then please create the user named as WEBFILESERVICE\mannhem and not webfileservice\mannhem.
