Impossible to use ä ü ö ???

Hello, 
is it right, that it is impossible to use an ä ü ö in the translation file for german?
Or can i change this somewhere?

No, you can use any character in the language file but you need to save the XML file with unicode encoding. Please use a unicode text editor (not Notepad) for editing the XML file. We will appreciate if you send us the language files.
