Long filenames truncated

If you have a long filename it will get truncated with ... despite the column having plenty of space left for more letters.

The file names are truncated if they are longer than  47 characters. Note that you can still see the full file name if you keep the mouse over the file for a few seconds.

How can I limit to less than 47 characters? Where is the setting to change it?!
