Create a new folder & call it Test, then copy that folder and paste it on to itself. You will see an error "I/O error" then browse to the tree view & you will see a recursive creation of the pasted folder. Looks like a bug in the FileVista control.
Has anyone encountered this issue & if so, were you able to fix it? Thanks in advance.

This is an expected behaviour. Even Windows will not allow to copy the folder if the destination folder is a subfolder of the source folder. You are trying to paste the folder into itself.

Is there a way to prevent users from copying a folder on to itself?
In Windows Vista if you copy a folder on to itself it will display a message "The destination folder is a sub folder of the source folder" and does not do a recursive copy like how FileVista control does.

Ok, recursive copy check will be implemented.

FYI, in v1.7 this is fixed. Copying or moving a folder into its subfolder will not be allowed and an error message will be displayed: "The destination folder is a subfolder of the source folder."
