Root folder path

filevista installed in /filevista/ folder

how can i make the root folder be one directory up for admin, etc...

If it is installed in /filevista folder than one directory up would be / so you should create a root folder with path /

If you need to see above / then you should use a physcial path instead. For instance, if / is a virtual directory for c:\inetpub\wwwroot, then you should create a root folder with path c:\inetpub
