Folder Holder

Is there a way to create a fake holder folder that you can attach real folders to for sorting?
Example
In the application you have the current users folder called My documents which has all their sub folders one of them which is shared with other users at that school.
I would also like to add a folder called My Schools Shared Folders which holds only the shared folders of other users that also are part of that school and have the folders show as sub folders of this fake folder so I do not have to look at a bunch of folders unless I want to view them.

In v1.6, you can now control the permissions of subfolders of a root folder. So you can create a root folder named "My Documents" and change the permissions of its subfolders separetely.
