Hello,
We are using FileVista as a secure way to transfer files - one user who distributes the files has access to all root folders, and each individual user has only access to their root folders
It works great, but one thing that worries me is that the security can be bypassed by simply typing in the file URL in your browser
IE - typing http://<site>/<root>/folder/File.doc - comes right up without any login.
I realize there might not be a way to have full (per-user) security this way - but it would be nice if it at least prompted for any valid login, so random internet users can't access the files.
Does anyone know a way around this?
Thanks,
Tom

Sorry - I answered my own question after having a look at the demo
I didn't realize you could map your root folders to physical paths on the HD (ie - c:\inetpub\private\rootfolder)
Mapped it to a non-web accessible location and it works now. Very cool!
