downloading multiple (large) files - zipping takes forever - need status bar?

Hi,

I discovered that uploading a lot of large files is no problem at all but if you want to download them all you'll be stuck for a long time without knowing what's happening because you cannot tell whether it's still zipping files or just hangs and now it just shows me the site again and doesn't download anything. Timeout?
I'm talking about 400 picture files with a filesize of 3-5 MB each.

It would be very nice to have some kind of progress bar or anything that lets you know how long it might take.
Or maybe someone comes up with another idea of how to download multiple files without zipping?

okay it does download the 1.8GB now. so don't worry about me saying something about a timeout. still it's pretty anoying to wait without seeing whats happening.
