I thought I would submit a feature request related to password quality. It would be nice we could enforce password parameters so, if permitted to change their passwords, our users could not choose simple passwords.
For me it would be enough if we could enforce the following:
> Must be 8 characters or longer
> Must contain at least one capital letter
> Must contain at least one number (or symbol)
> Cannot contain any part of the username
If we enable our users to set thier own passwords, FV will allow passwords as simple as a single character. Given the opportunity, our users will do just that.
Currently, we control all of our users passwords. They don't expire and users can't change thier own passwords. This works ok but has the potential to generate more help desk calls.
Along these same lines, it would be nice to have a password reset link on the login page (a temp pw would be emailed to the email address specified in the user account properties) for users that have forgotten their passwords.
Not urgent, but these features would be nice additions down the road.
