Download Speed Slow Compared to Traditional Right Click Save Link As

I have noticed the download speeds for the FileUltimate control are much slower than downloading the same file directly off a link  (ie.. Right-Click, Save Target As...).  I am testing large files around 350-680 meg.  The difference is HUGE:  34MB/sec vs 724KB/sec.  

Are there any tweakings that can be made to the control or server settings that might fix this issue? 

Please use the latest fix which should restore the download speed:
Fix 1 for FileUltimate v3.2 (v3.2.1)
