FileVista for Filesystem, what similar software can do email proxy?

FileVista is incredible to bypass a corporate firewall and can copy files in and out from my home system.

However, the corporate firewall also blocks things like gmail / hotmail etc.

Does anyone know similar method (or maybe it can be done without any special software) to allow me to connect to my home system via the web, and then access my gmail / hotmail through that connection ?
