File upload types - I need to restrict

I am using Explorer Pro. A fine web application. How
can I restrict the file types uploaded?

I would would like only the following to be allowed:

DOC, TXT, XLS, PPT, GIF, JPG

Please help, thanks

I prepared a modified WexUpload.asp for you and sent it via email. On line 68, you can change the constant allowedExtensions, it's set to "doc, txt, xls, ppt, jpg, xlw" (according to your latest request) now. Put this file in /uploaders folder and overwrite the old one. I hope you are using WexUpload.asp for upload plugin because this change is only done for it.

Can we have that modified file on a download area as well ... I think that feature of restricting file type uploads is very beneficial.

Thanks.

Carlos.

This is just a workaround for now, I will probably release it as a version update later. I am sending the file to you too.

Cem what can I say, I am impressed. Thank you very much indeed!

The update worked fine.

Do you plan to produce any other ASP apps for sale?

Thanks very much indeed

Richard, you are welcome.
Yes, I am thinking on releasing some other ASP applications. I would like to hear your suggestions too.

Thanks for your business.

I would be keen find web submission software that works from the browser, currently i've seen only two examples - they only submit to 6 in all. I would be interested in buying a full blown version at some point.

I would love to find an asp application that automates submission, triggered by a page hit. It would work by counting two weeks work of hits to the page, and then passing the url of the site to a small fame within the page - that in effect would trigger the submission.

Thus no more worries of keeping my site re-submitted :-)
