Works like a dream.

Haven't had any problems at all running this app.  My hat's off to you!  I had an idea though and was wondering how I might pull it off.  Would it be possible to add a "description" field to the upload so that when a photo is uploaded it can be displayed in the main interface with a description?

I don't think on adding this kind of feature to WebExplorer Free. It won't be hard to implement it though. You may use a small Access database to store the descriptions for the simplest way. The best way would be to use NTFS extensions, you should get more info easily on the net, I think.
