What's the problem

For security reasons, you can browse a read-only folder with the live demo. It's nothing to do with the script, I intentionaly disabled writing permission.

I did try to enable those write permission of the folders, but it still can't work.
I am using IIS 5.0

Are you sure that you have enabled NTFS permissions? It's nothing to do with IIS permissions. I recommend you to give "Everyone - Full control" NTFS permission to the folder that you want to set as root folder so that WebExplorer is not limited for any file operation.
