HTTP 500 - Internal server error

Hi, I've downloaded and installed WebExplorer Free onto my computer i.e. copied the files to 'C:\Inetput\wwwroot\WexFree'

However when I try to view 'default.asp' I just get HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error...

I've tried adding and removing permissions, moving the files to the root of the webserver, but to no success... please help I'm currently pulling my hair out and this will properly drive me into an early grave :P

O/S: Windows 2000 SP4
IIS: Version 5

OK i installed IIS on my Windows XP PC and installed the files required and bingo it works..... but why can't i get it to work on my Windows 2000?
